Thaba Monaté offers fully equipped luxury self-catering chalets in private settings, or alternatively shaded and appealing caravan and camping sites.

This premier Bushveld and Nature Resort is internationally renowned for its facilities in a magnificent and awe-inspiring reserve spreading over just under 400ha that is characterized by its unspoiled natural environment, wildlife and relaxed atmosphere under a star studded African sky.

CARAVANS AND CAMPING

At Thaba Monaté, we offer you 23 spacious, level, grassed and shaded Caravan and Camping sites equipped with 15amp electrical plug points and water taps, as well as superior ablution facilities, refuse bins are provided on each site.

The demand for Caravan and Camping sites has increased to such an extent that a New Park is in the process of being built which will add an extra 45 sites with an even better ablution block, swimming pool and children's play park.

The roads inside the resort are all sand roads and are well maintained, although not all the bush drive roads are accessible to normal vehicles, there are certain roads that are specified 4 x 4 trails, however there are regular Bush Drives onto the mountain and other areas of interest within the resort such as the two dams, book at the Reception Office to take part in these outings, however special arrangements can be made for other times and days.

NUMBER OF GUESTS MUST NOT EXCEED THE NUMBER OF BEDS IN A UNIT.

All the chalets have thatched roofs and thus blend into the surrounding bush, the interiors are well appointed with colours and fabric depicting the African Bushveld.

These luxury, serviced units have two and three bedrooms with living room, kitchen and one or two bathrooms. There is also an open deck and braai area were you can relax with your family and friends, as we would like you to enjoy your tranquil surroundings, we have not fitted the units with radio or television sets, but should nature just get too much for you, we have a television with DSTV available in the bar area.
